Henry George Bingham, 101, of Sycamore and formerly of Mundelein, Illinois died Friday, March 7, 2008 at Oak Crest DeKalb Area Retirement Center in DeKalb. He was born October 19, 1906 in Wright, Iowa the son of George Henry and Hannah (Eckert) Bingham. He married Arlyle Leona Muller on February 17, 1935 in Blue Island, Illinois.
He is survived by one son, Larry G. (Carol) Bingham of Sycamore; one daughter, Barbara (John) Ormiston of Hamilton, Montana; four grandchildren, Joshua Bingham of Pennsylvania, Scott Rouse, Steve Rouse both of Montana, Kevin Rouse of Idaho; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister-in-law, Lois Erickson of Palos Heights, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife in 2000; five sisters, Dorthea Shipp, Audra Lohr, Minnie, Gladys, Carol Bingham; two brothers, Arnold and Ralph Bingham.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Quiram-Sycamore Funeral Home, 1245 Somonauk St., Sycamore, IL 60178 with The Reverend Robert L. Vaughn officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the funeral service. Information: 815-895-6589 or www.quiram.com.
