Edward Doyle Dixson, 53, of Kingston, Illinois, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, died at his home on Wednesday, October 9, 2002. He was born October 26, 1948 in Rockford the son of Hobert Doyle Dixson and Margaret (Solomon) Dixson. He married Kathy Muth on July 1, 1967 in Genoa. He was a graduate of Genoa-Kingston High School and was an area painting contractor.

He is survived by his wife Kathy Dixson of Kingston; three daughters, Kelly Dixson-Boles (Christy Dixson-Boles), Karyn (Dixson (Jon Smith) all of Houston, Texas, Andrea Dixson-Sipes (Terry Sipes) of Kingston; his mother, Margaret Sullivan of DeKalb; a brother, Jim (Juanita) Dixson of Byron; two sisters, Ann (Jim) Lawrence of Tulare, California, Christina Marie Simon of Zephyrhills, Florida; five grandchildren, Jessica, Zachary, and Alexander Dixson-Smith, Kayla and Payton Sipes; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 14th at Kingston United

Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Cooper-Quiram Funeral Home in Genoa. Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery.
