Donald G. Havell, Sr., 74, of Genoa, Illinois and formerly of Schaumburg, Illinois died Friday, May 2, 2008 at his home. He was born April 13, 1934 in Oak Park, Illinois the son of Arthur and Lillian Havell, Jr. He married Mary Miller on December 4, 1954 in Maywood, Illinois. He worked as a lineman for Commonwealth Edison for thirty-three years.
He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-four years, Mary Havell; loving father of Shirley (Ross Gemmill) Wojcicki, Donald (Carol) Havell, Jr., Mary K. (Jeffery) Mueller; Six grandchildren, Michelle and Robert Wojcicki, Mary and Laura Hohlman, TC and Alanna Mueller; one brother, Richard Havell; two sisters, Blanche Kogut, Diane (Ron) Para; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Sheila Havell; two brothers, Arthur Havell III, Robert Havell; and one sister, Nancy Gelardi.
The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7th at Cooper-Quiram Funeral Home. The visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
