Barry James Idstein, 45, of Genoa and formerly of Elgin, Illinois died Friday, December 28, 2007, near Hurley, Wisconsin, as the result of a snowmobile accident. He was born February 13, 1962, in Elgin, the son of Bernard and Judith (Culver) Idstein. He married Christine Amery on August 22, 1986, in Elgin. He worked for Schneider Excavating, Inc. for the past fifteen years.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Idstein of Genoa; his parents of Elgin; two brothers, Robert (Barbara) Idstein of Algonquin, Brian (Tammie) Idstein of Elgin; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Karen Amery of St. Charles; sisters-in-law, Gail (Tom) Hess of South Elgin, Michelle Freeman of Elgin; several nieces and nephews; and family dogs, River and Bentley.
He was a member of the Owl’s Club and Laborers Local #582.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, December 31st at the Cooper-Quiram Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
