Rastko D. Jovanovic, 57, of Sycamore, Illinois, died Thursday, December 13, 2007, at Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb. Born October 20, 1950, in Sarajevo, Bosnia, he was the son of Danilo and Leposava (Todorovic) Jovanovic. He married Biljana Maric on June 4, 1975, in Sarajevo. He was an accountant and credit portfolio administrator for Resource Bank in DeKalb.
He is survived by his wife, Biljana Jovanovic of Sycamore; two sons, Vladimir (Jamie) Jovanovic of Bartlett, Bojan Jovanovic of DeKalb; two grandchildren, Maya and Luka Jovanovic of Bartlett; a brother, Streten Jovanovic of Sarajevo; and a niece, Svetlana of Belgrade. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 20th at Quiram-Sycamore Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Sycamore. A memorial fund is established in care of Quiram-Sycamore Funeral Home, 1245 Somonauk St., Sycamore, IL 60178.
