Charles R. Kieft, 73, of Cicero, died Monday, January 7, 2008 at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn.
He was born November 8, 1934 in Chicago the son of Charles S. and Betty (Fridrich) Kieft. Charles worked as an Athletic Director for the Cicero School District, a school bus driver, and a city bus driver. Charles served in the U. S. Army in the 101st Airborne as a paratrooper during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his daughter, Charlene Vjestica; grandsons, Petar Vjestica, Alexander Vjestica; sister, Marge (Dale) Johnson; nephew, Jeff Johnson; many aunts; uncles; and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Carmella.
A private family service will be held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery Mausoleum with Deacon John Battisto officiating.
