Daniel James Koch, 45, of Kingston, Illinois, and formerly of West Chicago, died Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb. Born March 26, 1963, in Elmhurst, he was the son of Robert and Charlotte (Kleinschmidt) Koch. He married Marcia Bjork on February 22, 1997, in Batavia. He was a graduate of North Central College and worked for Church Mutual Insurance Co.
He is survived by his wife Marcia Koch; a daughter, Julianna Koch; a son, Matthew Koch all of Kingston; his parents, Robert and Charlotte Koch of Wheaton; two brothers, Theodore Koch of Wheaton; Jeff (Tania) Koch of Northport, Florida; a sister, Debbie (Geoff) Webster of Georgia; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Marvin and Mary Bjork of Montgomery; several nieces and nephews.
He attended the Evangelical Free Church of Sycamore-DeKalb. He was a board member for Genoa Kingston School District 424, president of DeKalb Special Education Association, board member for Central Camping Association, and a member of Kingston Planning Commission.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2008, at Evangelical Free Church of Sycamore-DeKalb, 150 Bethany Road, DeKalb, with Pastor Bradley J. Reardon officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery. A memorial fund is established in care of Cooper-Quiram Funeral Home, P. O. Box 251, 202 E. Main St., Genoa, IL 60135.
