Elsie Lucille Larson, 93, of Sycamore, Illinois, and formerly of Florida, died Friday, February 1, 2008, at Shabbona Health Care Center in Shabbona. Born November 12, 1914, in Lisbon, she was the daughter of Charles and Mary (Johnson) Tollefson. She married Marvin W. Larson on February 18, 1936, in the parsonage of the West Lisbon Lutheran Church in Newark. She was a homemaker and lived in the farming communities of Newark, Hinckley, Elburn, and Sycamore. She and her husband later retired to Homossassa Springs, Florida.
She is survived by two daughters, Bernadine (Ronald) Reingardt of Fort Mill, South Carolina, Elaine (Larry) Westerbeck, of Mesa, Arizona; a son, Clyde Larson of Kirkland; a sister, Eleanor Tollefson of Morris; and several nieces and nephews. She was a loving grandmother to seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1997, three brothers, Gus and Glenn Tollefson, Laverne Johnson; and two sisters, Evelyn Helland and Clara Tollefson.
A graveside burial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 5th at West Lisbon Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements are by Quiram-Sycamore Funeral Home. For information call 815 895-6589 or visit www.quiram.com.
