Ray Ernest Larson, 98, of Sycamore died Monday, December 3, 2007 at Pine Acres Rehab and Living Center in DeKalb. He was born July 7, 1909 in Fort Dodge, Iowa the son of Andrew and Anna Larson. When he was a boy, he moved with his family to Newman Grove, Nebraska, where he lived until the family moved to Sycamore in 1938.

There he farmed with his father and brothers. He continued in the farming operation until his retirement.

He married Evelyn Broman Lindstrom in 1951, and she preceded him in death in August 1995.

Ray enjoyed collecting antique farm equipment and restoring old farm wagons, and attending farm and equipment auctions. He appreciated his many friends and looked forward to the family reunions, which took place at the farm west of Sycamore.

He is survived by his step-daughter; Joyce Barber of Sycamore, and here son and daughter; a brother, Arthur of Indianapolis, Indiana; a sister, Helen Fant, of Moline; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceed in death by his parents, wife, and four brothers, Paul, Verner, LeRoy, and Richard.
