Ladimir John Moudry, 95, of Sycamore, Illinois, died Thursday, February 21, 2008, at Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb. He was born November 19, 1912, in Chicago the son of Ladimir Frank Moudry and Emma Josephine (Steiner) Moudry. He married June Eileen Kasper on November 20, 1940, in Sycamore. Lad was an attorney first with Poust and Moudry, then with Moudry and Moudry. He retired in 1986. He was the city attorney for Sycamore for many years and also was attorney for the Sycamore Savings and Loan Association. He was a member of The Church of St. Mary where he was an usher for fifty years. Lad was a member of the Illinois Bar Association, Sycamore Rotary, Sycamore Elks Lodge, Sycamore Chamber of Commerce, VFW Post, the American Legion, and was a former member of the Kishwaukee Country Club. He was a former school board member. He was a graduate of University of Michigan Law School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Hawaii and Chicago.

He is survived by three daughters, Colette (Tony) Schmidt of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Mary (Tim) Totman of Highland Village, Texas, Margaret "Peggy" (Tom) Mitchell of Newport Beach, California; five grandchildren, Dana Kress, Karen (Chris) Montag, Molly Totman, Patrick (Jenny) Totman, John Totman; two great-grandchildren, Kody Kress and Nathan Montag. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, June in 1994; two daughters, Barbara Moudry and Connie Moudry.

The family extends a special thanks to Renee Olson, his long-time care giver, and his doctor and nurses at Kishwaukee Community Hospital.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 25, 2008, at The Church of Saint Mary, 244 Waterman St., Sycamore, with The Reverend Frank John Timar, MSC celebrating. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Sycamore. A visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday at Quiram-Sycamore Funeral Home.
