Edna Mae Ott, 87, of Davis Junction, Illinois, and formerly of Genoa, died Sunday, January 6, 2008, at Bethany Healthcare and Rehab Center in DeKalb. Born October 11, 1920, she was the daughter of Vern and Idena (Van Dresser) Geithman. She was formerly employed by Duplex Products and also worked as a bartender in Sycamore.

She is survived by a son, Mick (Marilyn) Ingram of Sycamore; two daughters, Betty (Al) Shott of Kirkland, Sally (Dick) Harrolle of Davis Junction; a sister, Myrla Underwood of Sycamore; grandchildren, Edie (Jake) Pierce, Danielle (Doug) Boyd, Josh (Crystal) Harrolle, Julie (Allen) Beach, Jeff (Kathy) Hammes, Laurie (Chuck) Haub, Lynn, Mark, and Matt (Margo) Ingram, John and Deborah Shott; fourteen great-grandchildren, Wyatt Pierce, Macie and Dylan Boyd, Westin Harrolle, Alex Gartner, Jessica, Ginney, and Christopher Hammes, Allison McGuire, Rachel Kuykendall, Kayla and Josh Haub, Jacob Folwell, Christian and Katie Ingram; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Norma Hudson, and Peggy Twombley.

She enjoyed being with her family, especially with her kids and grandkids. She liked to go to garage sales and to play Bingo at the Genoa Veterans Home.

A graveside burial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Genoa Cemetery. After the burial service, a gathering of friends and a visitation to remember and celebrate her life will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday at the Genoa Veterans Home.
