William "Bill" S. Reuss, 81, of Sycamore died Friday, March 21, 2008 at DeKalb County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in DeKalb. He was born September 10, 1926 the son of Walter and Luella (Koonz) Reuss. He was an accountant and traveling auditor for Wurlitzer, Continental Can, Geographic, and Turner Brass. Bill was a member of The Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. John in Sycamore where was an Elder and a former choir member. He graduated from Sycamore High School then attended Northern Illinois University for two years then the University of Illinois for two years. Bill was a licensed pilot and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
He is survived by one brother, Robert Reuss of Sycamore; one sister, Peggy Hageman of Milroy, Minnesota; four nieces, Donna, Christine, Patsy, and Nancy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Betty Reuss.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday March 26th, in The Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. John, 26555 Brickville Road, Sycamore, with The Reverend Robert Weinhold, officiating. The visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Sycamore.
