Bernadine C. Worland, 77, of Clare, Illinois, died Friday, July 25, 2008, at her home. Born April 13, 1931, in Joliet, she was the daughter of Emmett and Emma (Bernhart) Moran. She married Francis Joseph Worland on December 28, 1963, in Joliet. She and her husband farmed in the Clare area and for over thirty years she was the postmaster for Clare.
She is survived by her sister, Charlene (Robert) Van Ess of New Franken, Wisconsin; a sister-in-law, June Moran of Littleton, Colorado; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Leonard Moran.
She was a member of The Church of St. Mary, 244 Waterman Street, in Sycamore. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2008, at the church with The Reverend Frank John Timar, M.S.C. celebrating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on Thursday at Quiram-Sycamore Funeral Home, 1245 Somonauk Street. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Sycamore.
